Homesbook Factoring Caplan

Work Ongoing…

Director of Football Neil Watt, informed the website of the latest position in regard to the squad…

“Contract discussions are ongoing with the players and hopefully by next week we will have a better idea of who wants to commit themselves to the club for the new season.

Jay Lang and Connor Cassidy have, however, both been informed that they are not being offered new deals and we wish them well for the future.

“It also seems unlikely that Latvians Aleks Gramovics and Dmitrijs Borisovs will return to the club as both have returned home following the end of the 2009-10 campaign. The duo arrived at Broadwood in January and featured in 17 and 9 matches respectively, each scoring one goal.

“Both lads adapted well to the game in Scotland and all parties benefited from the short-term arrangement. We’ve taken the decision to invite Aleks back for preseason training but are equally aware, at this time, of the interest in Aleks from clubs abroad and in higher leagues in Scotland. During the summer I will keep in touch with Aleks’ agent and monitor the situation.

“Finally we hope to announce the appointment of a chief scout this weekend, as discussions with the preferred candidate are virtually complete. This is a new position within our football structure and it will be an important post for Clyde, both in the short and long term future of the club.

“I look forward to naming our new chief scout very soon.”
