Trust Fundraisers a Big Success
Two important Supporters’ Trust fundraising events took place at the weekend and both turned out to be a big success.
First up on Saturday night was the Glasgow Branch race night. Regular venue, the Pandora Bar was again a great host as all the Clyde fans in attendance enjoyed the end of season gathering.
It raised over £800 and thanks go to Rod MacKenzie and everyone else that helped make it go smoothly.
Following that, the fans v fans match took place at Broadwood yesterday afternoon. The new two-hour format went down well as all the players sampled at least an hour’s football on the biggest pitch in Scotland.
Former Bully Wee players, Ally Graham, Pat Keogh, Gordon Parks and Kenny Quinn helped make it a fantastic occasion and the 6-2 scoreline was not a fair reflection on what was an evenly contested game.
The goals came from Andy Murray (3), Barry McMullan (2), Graham Forrest, Andy Muir and Kenny Quinn.
Credit goes to organiser, Richie Duncan and all the others who contributed to a memorable day, with the total raised coming in at a fine £945.
