Girvan Ready for New Challenge
One of the Bully Wee’s latest signings, Graham Girvan spoke to the official website this week following confirmation of his move to Broadwood.
Graham gave some background on his football journey to date…
“I was at Ross County for four seasons but I’m originally from the central belt, Thornliebank. I was at Rangers as an early teen but I followed George Adams up to Dingwall when he took the director of football position there.
“I started six games for County last season but I’m hoping to get a longer run of games here at Clyde. I wanted to go somewhere that I can prove myself by playing regularly and hopefully do well.”
Moving to a new club can be difficult at first, but Graham should have no problem settling in as he revealed:-
“I know Stuart Millar from Ross County and I spoke to a few boys that have worked with him and Neil Watt and they said it would be great working with them. I’m looking forward to it and hopefully it can enhance my career as well.
“Right-back is my preferred position but I can play elsewhere as well. The main thing for me is just getting on the pitch as much as I can.”
Graham will, of course, return to Dingwall in July with his new team-mates for a pre-season friendly but it was only a couple of weeks ago that he travelled to Hampden with the Staggies…
“I was part of the Cup Final squad and would have loved to make the 16 but it didn’t quite happen. It was still a great experience though.”
