Latvian Duo Jet In

The club has moved to further boost the squad by bringing in two Latvian players on a deal until the end of the season.

Dmitrijs Borisovs (right) and Aleksandrs Gramovics arrived in Scotland at lunchtime today and quickly made their way to Cumbernauld to watch the match against Stenhousemuir. They will be getting involved with the squad this week and, subject to all the necessary paperwork being in order, could feature at Arbroath.

Both men recently completed the 2009 summer season in Latvian’s top league, Virsliga.

Borisovs, 22, is a forward and scored 4 times in 17 appearances for SK Blazma Rezekne during the campaign.

20-year-old Gramovics is an attacking midfielder who is part of the Latvian Under-21 squad, featuring in all of their 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers to date.

He was also a regular for his club – Tranzits Ventspils – in 2009, making 24 appearances.

Clyde director of football, Neil Watt welcomed the pair to the club this afternoon and said that both lads were eager to get their Bully Wee careers underway.
