Closed Door Action

The Bully Wee’s normal Tuesday night training session made way for some important match action this evening, as a strong Motherwell reserve side visited Broadwood for a closed door game.

The well contested match finished 0-1 to the SPL outfit, with Latvians Gramovics and Borisovs both featuring for Clyde for the first time. In fact, all available players were given time on the pitch by John McCormack on a typically cold night in Cumbernauld.

A lively first half surprisingly ended with no score, with both Callum Reidford and the visiting ‘keeper having to make some fine stops. On loan Kris Doolan was particularly unlucky to see two of his efforts kept out.

The Clyde boss made several changes at half-time and the second period was less open, with Well grabbing the winner via a low shot from the edge of the box.

It was certainly a useful outing for the Bully Wee and the Latvian duo can be pleased with their contribution at this early stage in their move to Scotland.
