Clyde A-A Livingston

Tonight’s third attempt to play the Active Nation Scottish Cup Third Round tie incredibly failed again, as more heavy fog caused another abandonment.

Conditions were fine when the game kicked-off and it was wide open from the start, with the away side in particular creating a host of chances. Callum Reidford was forced into a string of saves but Clyde still found themselves two down.

The Bully Wee were able to cause problems at the other end though and, after Jordan White’s header halved the deficit, John McCormack’s men finished the first period strongly in search of an equaliser.

At the break, heavy fog quickly engulfed Broadwood and chaotic scenes followed. After an extended break, during which the visibility worsened again, referee Mat Northcroft surprisingly decided to restart the match despite the crowd being unable to see most of what was going on on the pitch.

After nine minutes of action in worse weather than the previous abandoned game, the officials discussed the situation again and decided to halt the match.

The fourth attempt to find a winner will now take place at Broadwood on Wednesday night, 7.45pm.
