Arbroath Squad Boosted by Wilson
The Bully Wee visit Arbroath tomorrow for the first time since 2003.
Marvyn Wilson is added to the squad following his signature today and John Brown had no fresh injury worries to report ahead of the trip to Angus.
Long term absentees Darren Walker and Dave McKay are again ruled out though, with the latter still facing an estimated six weeks on the sidelines.
The Clyde boss spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk ahead of the Second Division match:-
“The boys have been lively in training this week and have responded well to last week’s bad result at Methil. Simply, the performance was not up to the standard that we need in this league but as I said we have had a good reaction from the boys and we go up to Arbroath full of confidence.
“Arbroath got a good result last week, albeit Alloa had a man sent off and had a few injuries. We know they are all tough games for us. We are looking for consistency; we thought we were going to get it but it wasn’t there last week. Hopefully we will get a wee break.
“I’d also like to say that hopefully the fans can get behind the team tomorrow. Whether or not they are on my case I want to take it away from the players. We are trying to do the best we can and I hope the fans can understand that.
“I know they are frustrated but whether it is abusing myself or whatever, the players can hear it all and I’d rather the fans backed the team. If they have got a grievance then it would be best kept for after the game, not before the warm-up is finished.”
