Ole’s Reds Coming North

Clyde FC is delighted to announce that a Manchester United XI will be coming to Broadwood for a friendly fixture on Sunday 18th October.

Red Devils’ reserve manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will lead the side that will provide Cumbernauld with another fantastic occasion.

The challenge match will kick-off at 3pm, with further details to be announced soon.

Club director, Frank Dunn spoke to the official website this evening:-

“Alex Ferguson offered us this match to assist the club financially at this time. We had discussions during the summer but this was the earliest date available.

“We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to entertain a Man Utd eleven and there is an opportunity for the club to receive a major financial uplift from the game. We plan to involve the community and businesses throughout the area and to sell out hospitality. There will also be other fundraising initiatives associated with the day, to be announced later.

“I would like to place on record the Club’s thanks to Sir Alex, Ole and all at Man Utd for once again helping the Bully Wee.”
