McCormack Appointed
Clyde Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of John McCormack as first team coach.
John, 54, has built up considerable experience throughout the SFL having managed Dundee, Queen’s Park, Morton and Albion Rovers and will provide valuable assistance and advice to Clyde boss John Brown in coaching and preparing the team.
John will start with immediate effect and will be introduced to the players at this evening’s training session at Broadwood, as the squad prepares for the weekend clash against Brechin City.
Following discussions with John Brown, the decision to bolster the coaching staff at the club was made this week. John McCormack was quickly identified as the ideal candidate and director of football Neil Watt moved swiftly to add him to the club’s football staff.
Neil commented, “John McCormack brings a wealth of experience at this level to Clyde FC. Knowing and having worked with him in the past, I am sure that everyone at the club will get a real lift from his enthusiasm and drive.
“Importantly, his in-depth knowledge of football should be of considerable benefit.”
