Clyde 0-1 Alloa
The Bully Wee suffered another defeat at Broadwood today, with one goal proving enough to earn Alloa the three points.
Clyde started brightly and enjoyed the best of the opening spell. Paul McLeod missed a chance in the opening minutes before Adam Coakley squandered a great opportunity after a brilliant pass by Jamie Doyle.
Against the run of play, the Wasps scored when Agnew’s shot was parried by stand-in ‘keeper McNeil and Brian Carrigan smashed home the rebound.
McLeod then hit the post as Clyde continued to look the more likely to score.
The second half was a different story though, as the visitors looked assured in defending their lead.
New signing Steven Odunewu (pictured) made his debut from the bench and there was frustration as Dave McKay got in the way of a shot by McLeod that looked to be going in.
Minutes from the end, Mark Casey did well to get back and clear a shot off the line to prevent the scoreline being doubled.
