Tough Test at Lennoxtown
The Clyde squad in the making were given a tough work-out by Celtic’s reserves at the Lennoxtown complex this afternoon.
The match took place over three 30 minute periods, allowing John Brown to field different sides with different objectives in each. After two trial sides competed, the newly promoted under-19s were handed the reigns for the last third but lost four goals without reply against a very capable Bhoys outfit.
The final score was 7-2 to the hosts, with both the Bully Wee’s goals coming via trialists in the middle section of the match, which was won 0-2.
Monday’s match against Queen’s Park will give the Clyde boss another chance to see his potential signings in action ahead of the first official friendly of the summer against Partick Thistle.
