Director of Football Appointed
Clyde Football Club is delighted to announce that Neil Watt has been appointed to the board as Director of Football.
Neil is highly respected in Scottish football, having huge experience both as a player and more recently as a manager. He had particular success at Stranraer F.C. where he led the Stair Park club to the First Division in 2005-06.
Due to various current commitments, Neil will undertake the role effective from 1st August but in the meantime he spoke to www.clyde.co.uk:-
“Having a short break from the game has been beneficial for me and I am full of energy and enthusiasm to take on this new challenge.
“The role of Director of Football is very often confusing and undefined to football supporters and I hope to bring clarity to the position once I have my feet under the table and have integrated with the club and the Board.”
Bully Wee chairman, Ian Letham added:-
“We are delighted that Neil has accepted our offer for him to join the board. His business acumen as well as his experience in football will be of great benefit to Clyde. We are all looking forward to working with him as his skills and experience will be invaluable to the club.”
