Clyde 2 v 4 Morton
The First Division table does not make good reading for the Bully Wee tonight, after a painful defeat at the hands of Morton.
The visiting team were well on top during the first half and got their reward when Erik Paartalu was given space outside the box to swing a lovely shot into the top corner.
Just before half-time, however, Ruari MacLennan pounced on a mistake to grab an equaliser. Incredibly, almost straight from the kick-off, another Morton error led to Tade crossing for Gemmill to glance a header in to make it 2-1.
With the game finely poised in the second half, Billy Gibson received a second booking for an innocuous looking foul. On the 70 minute mark, Stuart Kettlewell then made a dreadful error that led to a simple tap-in for Russell.
Clyde’s misery was complete when Wake scored a late winner with a deflected shot and added a fourth just before the final whistle.
