A Home Game at Last!

Queen of the South visit Broadwood tomorrow for the sides’ third meeting of the season in the IRN-BRU First Division.

Gregory Tade returns to the squad following suspension, but three players are definitely out.

Stuart Kettlewell has not recovered in time, with Marvyn Wilson (hamstring) and Pat Clarke (suspended) both missing as a result of the Airdrie match.

Bully Wee boss John Brown was in a determined mood ahead of the match:-

“We’ve now got two home games against teams in our area of the league so we can use that as a motivation. Two good results will see us move up the table.

“We will have to be at our very best tomorrow. I watched Queen of the South last Saturday and O’Connor and Dobbie were at their best, with Barry Wilson also making an impact. Our defence will be tested and we can’t afford anyone to be below par.

“No question about it, the players are physically and mentally able for the battle ahead. Younger players don’t worry to the same extent as older players do. Some older guys have a tendency to look over their shoulders and concern themselves with the league table, but our lads will just get on with it.”
