Clyde 2 v 4 Partick Thistle
Clyde lost the first derby meeting of 2009 this afternoon, losing out in an open affair that saw six goals exchanged between the sides.
The Bully Wee started well and Pat Clarke took advantage of a defensive slip to open the scoring after 20 minutes.
However, the rest of the half was all about Thistle as they stunned Clyde with three goals. A Donnelly header was followed by a Harkins penalty before Paul Paton made it 1-3 just before the break.
Dave McKay and Craig O’Reilly were introduced at half-time and two good chances to reduce the deficit were missed before Clarke got his second from the spot to make it ‘game on.’
Alan Trouten missed a decent chance and Clarke had a strong penalty claim turned down before Liam Buchanan sealed the win for the Jags with a late strike.
