Will the Run Continue?
Tomorrow sees an IRN-BRU First Division match between Dunfermline Athletic and the Bully Wee that is vital to both clubs. Clyde’s current form, including two wins in the last seven days, has surprised many and more league places could be gained if it continues at East End Park. That will be extremely difficult, however, against a Pars side looking to keep the pressure on leaders St. Johnstone.
For Clyde, the match also signals the start of a three game festive sequence against the current top three clubs that will certainly test the recent revival.
Although it was believed otherwise at the start of the week, Scott Gemmill was in fact suspended for Tuesday night’s match against Airdrie, which means he should be available for selection tomorrow. It’s Ruari MacLennan’s turn to be banned though, after his red card in the second half.
Stuart Kettlewell, Neil McGregor and Michael Ohnesorge continue to be ruled out so the Clyde squad is unlikely to be much different from that of the midweek victory.
The match will also feature, for the first time, the club’s new third kit, produced in association with local charity the Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
