Dunfermline 4 v 4 Clyde
In an amazing match at East End Park the Bully Wee gained a creditable draw but at one stage it was looking like so much more. Clyde led by four goals to two with twenty minutes left but Dunfermline pegged it back.
Clyde opened the scoring through Alan Trouten in the first minute and kept the lead until the tenth minute when Stephen Glass converted a soft penalty for the home side.
Andy Kirk put the Pars into the lead early in the second half but the Bully Wee then performed a magnificent fightback, starting when Chris Higgins steered a header into the top corner.
Pat Clarke then restored the lead with a run and shot that crept into the bottom corner despite Paul Gallacher getting a hand to it.
Incredibly, Clarke then made it four when he finished off a tremendous team move involving Trouten, McLaren and Lowing for a wonderful goal.
It was then Dunfermline’s turn to demonstrate their battling qualities with goals from Kirk and Phinn leaving the Clyde fans gutted at how close they had come to securing another three points.
