Clyde 2 v 2 St. Johnstone
A Pat Clarke double earned Clyde a well deserved point against St. Johnstone at Broadwood today.
Both sides created chances in an entertaining first half, but it was the Bully Wee who got off the mark first when Clarke met a fine Dave McKay cross. Just two minutes later, however, debutant Alan Lithgow (left) conceded a penalty that was converted by Liam Craig.
Clarke then missed a great chance to give Clyde the lead again but he dragged his shot wide with Alan Main out of position.
The league leaders took more control of proceedings in the second period and took the lead after 62 minutes, when Kevin Rutkiewicz rose well to head in a corner.
It looked as though that may be enough but Clyde kept battling and, with five minutes to go, Clarke covered a lot of ground to meet a Willie McLaren cross and fire the ball into the net.
