Duo Face Late Fitness Tests
The Bully Wee welcome Queen of the South to Broadwood tomorrow for an intriguing IRN-BRU First Division clash.
Clyde continue to be without Willie McLaren, Marc McCusker and Marvyn Wilson. Marvyn resumed training this week but the match has come too soon for him.
Roddy MacLennan is also ruled out through injury, with Pat Clarke (calf) and Paul Emslie facing fitness tests tomorrow to see if they can take part.
John Brown spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk this afternoon:-
“There’s a good spirit amongst the boys at the moment and we’ve got two home games now, albeit very tough ones.
“Queen of the South have tasted UEFA Cup football this season and are going well in the league so it’s going to be very hard. We’re in good form ourselves though and we want to convert draws into wins at home. That would push us up the table as there’s not a lot in the league.
“I watched Queens in the cup during the week and they’re a good team. They could have gone on to win the game at 1-1 but Falkirk scored a fortunate goal. They are an experienced team and Dobbie and Kean will cause us problems at the back.
“We’ve got a few injuries so it looks like we’ll have to shuffle the pack again. We’re hoping that Pat will make it but at the moment it looks 60-40 against so we may have to reshape the team. Paul Emslie had a good game at Broadwood against Thistle so it would be good to get him on the park but we’ll have to wait and see.”
