Shop Update

With the public friendlies about to begin and the season’s kick-off only a few weeks away, the club shop is getting ready for its busiest period of the year.

Shop manager, Ian Roberts spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk today to keep supporters up-to-date, starting with soon to arrive home shirts:-

“We will be receiving a limited amount of shirts initially, which will hopefully carry us through the up and coming friendlies before we receive our full order early in August.

“When I say limited number, I am talking in the region of 200 shirts across all sizes, or approx 20-30 shirts in each size. My advice would be that, as soon as their arrival is announced on the website, come in to the shop and get one.

“I say this mainly due to the fact that the Rangers match is expected to be extremely busy and I wouldn’t want anyone looking for a shirt to miss out.”

The away kit is scheduled to arrive mid-august, and updates on dates of arrival will be posted on the website. Ian continued:-

“We are also pleased to announce that your club shop is branching into other areas, one of which is the sale and supply of trophies to boys clubs, sports clubs and associations.

“This is a market which can be highly profitable and we are looking to break into this potential revenue stream with help from our new kit supplier, Surridge Sports.

“We are also pleased to announce that we are now an official supplier of Scottish Saltires cricket merchandise. Yes, cricket! To explain, Saltires merchandise is very hard to come by and is actually very, very attractive looking. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for alternative Scotland gear to come in and have a look at it. You will find that, as with all of the Surridge Sports’ merchandise (our own kit included) the quality, style and design is second to none.

“In fact we actually sold four of the navy international shirts before we had even hung them up!”

Ian also reported that over the last few days the shop has been receiving various new stock lines, including stylish polo shirts from Surridge in both white and red, commemorative pennants for the Rangers, Rutherglen and Hibs matches, new jacquard scarves, a new range of badges and key-rings and limited edition Brian Laudrup cartoons which are already proving very popular.

Although the season is yet to start, your club shop is still well worth a visit and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
