Gary’s Staying On

Gary McSwegan has agreed a new one-year deal with The Bully Wee, John Brown confirmed today.

The former Scotland internationalist impressed after signing a short term deal towards the end of last season, scoring three goals and assisting in five more in just nine appearances.

John commented, “It’s a big plus that Gary has agreed to stay on. He was a major factor in keeping us in the division and his know how will help us greatly. Gary missed out on pre-season last year, as he coached the youths at Inverness, so this period is especially important for him.”

John concluded, “Gary gives us different options up front. He will have some young legs alongside him and he proved in the latter part of the season how vital his experience can be.” 

Gary’s signature takes the confirmed squad for the new season to twenty players at present, as follows:-

Mark Brown, Peter Cherrie, Pat Clarke, Stephen Connolly, Billy Gibson, Chris Higgins, David Hutton, Stuart Kettlewell, Roddy MacLennan, Ruari MacLennan, Marc McCusker, David McGowan, Neil McGregor, Dave McKay, Willie McLaren, Gary McSwegan, Jordan Murch, Alan Trouten, Ricky Waddell and Marvyn Wilson.
