A Test of Character
John Brown spoke to the Official Website ahead of tomorrow’s match:-
“The players won’t feel sorry for themselves. Heads were down on Saturday but they are now focussed on the task required. We spoke after the game and emphasised the positives about the performance. We were one goal away but produced, especially in the second half, an excellent display with the right attitude.
“The play-offs are hugely important so we have prepared accordingly. We’ve watched Alloa on a number of occasions and trained at Recreation Park today. The pitch won’t be an obstacle. The match is 11 v 11 and will be decided by which team is the hungrier over the two games.
“We have to be positive. We are going into the match in decent form but now is the time for character. We have to apply ourselves in the correct manner and rise to the challenge that Alloa will provide.
“It will need to be a team effort and that team involves the fans. I thought the support was magnificent on Saturday and the squad will need similar backing again in what is a massive week for the club.”
