Brown Moves To Add Options

With injury and suspension set to hit the squad for this weekend’s match at Stirling Albion, John Brown is making moves to strengthen his options before the clash.

John informed www.clydefc.co.uk that, as well as expecting to complete the signature of Jorg Albertz on Friday, he may bring in experienced forward Gary McSwegan.

McSwegan has been training with the club for a number of weeks and participated in the reserve

match against Queen’s Park. Indeed, Gary is set to play again for the reserves this afternoon against Partick Thistle at Petershill Park, 2pm.

The Clyde Manager also gave an update on the latest injury news. Craig McKeown is undergoing tests on the groin injury currently keeping him out of action and will miss out on Saturday again.

Striker Gary Arbuckle is nearing the end of his six week recuperation period after breaking his jaw at Cappielow, but will not be available until next Saturday (v Queen of the South) at the earliest.

Pat Clarke, Chris Higgins and Jimmy Gibson are all unavailable for the next two matches due to suspension.
