Brown Relishes Accies Test

Bully Wee boss John Brown is continuing to work hard at improving the club’s fortunes. Following Saturday’s excellent result against Morton, John was back at Broadwood on Sunday to watch the Under-16 and Under-19 sides.

The manager is keen to enhance the links between the pro-youth sides and the first team squad and he is set to create a closer working relationship with the youth coaches.

After taking in the cup tie at Fir Park between Motherwell and Dundee, John’s attention has turned to today’s reserve match with Hamilton at Broadwood. John commented, “It will be a good opportunity for those who haven’t featured in the first team squad to get some competitive action.”

John concluded by also hinting that his desire to strengthen the squad may not be over despite the closure of the transfer window: “We have had a couple of trialists in over the past fortnight who have acquitted themselves well in training however I want to see them tested in a match and the game with Hamilton is ideal.”

The Reserve League Cup tie v Hamilton kicks off at Broadwood at 7.30pm.
