Clyde 0 v 1 Dundee Utd
Clyde made their exit from this year’s Scottish Cup following a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Dundee United. A Barry Robson strike was the difference between the two sides and in truth it was a goal worthy of winning a cup final never mind a Fourth Round tie.
The Bully Wee were at their best in the first half, with youngster Ruari MacLennan shining in his central midfield role. Clyde put their SPL rivals
under pressure but failed to grab the crucial advantage and were made to pay when Robson fired home in style after the break.
Gary Arbuckle had, earlier in the second period, forced McLean into a good stop. Some late pressure on the visitor’s goal promised to force a replay but the few chances Clyde were able to create were squandered as the match came to a close.
So it is Dundee United who travel to Paisley to play St Mirren in the Fifth Round.
