Clyde 0 v 0 Queen of the South

Clyde kicked off the busiest month of the First Division calender with their first 0-0 scoreline of the season, as they shared the points with Queen of the South at Broadwood.

The match was far from pretty for long spells but both sides will feel they should have scored goals, with the away side in particular coming close on a number of occasions.

The Bully Wee started the match minus five first team regulars, with McGregor suspended and Cardle, Arbuckle, Wilson and Masterton all out injured. Smith and Imrie came closest for Clyde in the first half and Queens rattled the bar and had another two cleared off the line – as well as forcing David Hutton into a fine save.

The second period saw less chances created, particularly at Hutton’s goal, although Dan Kirkup hit the underside of the bar with a looping header and Sean McKenna missed a late chance to snatch a win.
