Dundee 0 v 1 Clyde

It was a case of “Dens Delight” as the Bully Wee upset the pundits by gaining an excellent victory over Dundee. Clyde left it late however and it was a Dixon own goal that edged the Colin Hendry’s men to maximum points.

Clyde felt aggrieved at going in level at the interval after it seemed a Dougie Imrie corner had crossed the goal-line in the 41st minute but the joy was only delayed.

Christian Smith – who made an excellent contribution throughout the match after replacing the injured Marvyn Wilson in the 30th minute – made a strong tackle on the edge of the box, spread the ball to Dougie Imrie whose cross-cum-shot was steered into the net by Dundee’s Paul Dixon to give Clyde the lead.

The Bully Wee held firm as desperate Dundee tried to grab an equaliser but the away side held on and made it a Sunday to remember for the travelling support.
