Clyde 1 v 2 Partick Thistle
The Bully Wee suffered a derby defeat at Broadwood today in a match where neither side produced their best form and Clyde were left to rue missed chances once again.
The first half had little in the way of goalmouth action but David and Michael McGowan both missed excellent chances to put Clyde ahead.
Thistle started the second period well and took the lead through Chaplain following sloppy defending of a free-kick.
David McGowan then hit the post as Clyde tried to get back into the match but their task was made harder on 74 minutes when Harkins crashed home a long shot to make it 0-2.
Dougie Imrie won and scored a penalty with minutes remaining but the resultant seige on the away goal couldn’t bring an equaliser.
