Win For Reserve Side

The Bully Wee won their opening Reserve League Cup match tonight with a 1-0 win over Airdrie Utd in very wet conditions at Broadwood. Evangelino Valentim (pictured) scored the winner early in the match.

One of the biggest plus points of the evening was the continued progress made by Craig McKeown as he put in a solid display at the heart of the defence.

The Clyde side was mostly filled by first team squad members and new signing Ryan Wilkie also featured after recovering from a hamstring injury. The full starting line-up was:-

Cherrie; Kirkup, McKeown, C.McGregor; Wilkie, MacLennan, Smith, Wilson, Cardle; Valentim, McKenna.

Clyde’s next fixture in the competition is away to Stranraer during week commencing the 28th October.
