Striker Signed

Clyde this morning completed the signing of Nigerian forward Evangelino Valentim and the 22-year-old goes straight into tomorrow’s squad to face Dunfermline at Broadwood.

Valentim, who at 6 feet 7 inches will certainly add a presence to the Bully Wee attack, was last registered with Shooting Stars in his home country.

Colin Hendry received favourable reports about him from clubs south of the border where he had trial spells and he also impressed the Manager in training and bounce matches recently.

Similar to Dusan Bestvina, Evangelino has intially signed on amateur terms.
