Colin Hendry spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk on the eve of Saturday’s game against Dunfermline at Broadwood: “Dunfermline are an excellent side. In my opinion they are the best team we have faced and will definitely be there or thereabouts when the league race reaches its climax.
“They have had a slow start, but against us in the Challenge Cup they demonstrated their strength and depth. Stephen played a team that would not be considered as his first choice but they showed their skill going forward and it will
be a hard match. I made a point of going to see them at Broomfield on Tuesday night and I was impressed again.”
However, Colin was not pessimistic about Clyde’s chances: “In our previous match with Dunfermline we also created many chances but we need, of course, to take them. We’ve brought in Evangelino Valentim today and he will definately give the squad some different options up front.
“It is a highly competitive league and in some ways it is similar to the Championship down south where the teams are close to one another. There, like here, consistency is the key.
“People talk about tactics but what we have to do is wipe out individual errors and get in front so we can start climbing the league. We may be bottom now but I have no fears over where we will be at the end of the season.”
