Queen of the South 1 v 1 Clyde

It was honours even at Palmerston today as Clyde drew drew 1-1 with Queen of the South. A controversial Dobbie penalty in the first half gave Queens the advantage going into the break but shortly after the interval Neil McGregor equalised for The Bully Wee.

Clyde certainly had their chances to win, no more so when, after being brought down in the penalty box, Dougie Imrie grabbed the ball and missed from the spot. Christian Smith nearly grabbed the points late on when his drive narrowly missed with seconds left on the clock.

All in all a decent performance at a difficult venue with Clyde debutant Dusan Bestvina putting in an assured display at right back. Once more however Colin Hendry’s men will regret their missed chances in front of goal and it is that which is the major factor in The Bully Wee sinking to 10th position this evening.
