Full House For Colin!

Gala Bingo, our current sponsors of the Away Strip, have had a busy week. The town of Cumbernauld reaches a milestone 50th birthday this year and as part of the celebrations Gala held a series of events last week to raise funds for local charities. This culminated in a Grand Charity Finale on Saturday night when all the staff put on a cabaret show for their customers.

The evening started with a Charity Bingo game where all the proceeds went into their charity pot, with the winner receiving £100 plus a Clyde Shirt (away, of course!). Our Manager, Colin Hendry, went along to act as Celebrity Bingo Caller for this first game and was well received by the locals despite claiming to be a novice. In fact, Colin reckoned there was more pressure facing the masses of knowledgeable bingo playing women than there had been earlier in the day in claiming the win in the match against St.Johnstone!

Sod’s Law being what it is, two lucky women called house on the same number to claim the prize. In the absence of a pair of scissors to cut the shirt in two, a coin was tossed and one lady won the shirt plus £50 cash and the other got the remaining £50 cash plus a consolation of £50 worth of Gala vouchers.
