Clyde Meet The Lions

There was more match action for the squad this morning as a visit to Clyde’s current training base, Little Kerse, by Millwall resulted in a hastily arranged bounce match taking place.

The score was 2-1 to the visitors, with Brian Gilmour scoring a fine long-range effort for The Bully Wee. The game, lasting about an hour, was played in great spirit and enjoyed by both teams although both the London club’s goals were hotly disputed with the referee… a Millwall coach!

Former Clyde player Tom Brighton was present but unable to take part due to injury.

The encounter also gave Colin Hendry the chance to have an early look at a new midfield trialist from the north of England who arrived today.
