Livingston v Clyde

Joe Miller spoke exclusively to www.clydefc.co.uk on the eve of the Bully Wee’s trip to Livingston. “We need to get a result. The last time we played against Livingston they hurt us with a single goal defeat. After a couple of draws and a defeat it’s vital we get back to winning ways. Saturday was disappointing.

“Some players just did not perform at the weekend. In the matches that we won against the form sides in the league we dominated the matches from an early stage but in the games against the sides at the bottom we have not competed as well.”

Joe continued, “We chatted about that on Monday and hopefully the fans will see a reaction on Wednesday night. The match at Almondvale is one we are looking forward to, Livingston have had some good results recently so we will need to be at our very best.

“We’ll be boosted by the return of Mikey McGowan but it has also been good to see the form of MacLennan and Bradley as they try to impose themselves in the first team. It remains to be seen if McCann will win his fitness battle for this tie.”

Joe concluded, “We don’t have a great deal of games left but we need to remain focussed. There are several players out of contract in the summer so the onus is on them to keep proving their worth. There is no way I want this season to go out with a whimper and I want the players to demonstrate that starting tomorrow.”
