Partick Thistle 0 v 4 Clyde
The Bully Wee’s explosive form continued with a stunning performance at Firhill that could so easily have resulted in a bigger margin of victory. A large travelling support was treated to a win that will live long in the memory and is Clyde’s first at Firhill since 2000.
On form Gary Arbuckle opened the scoring after 4 minutes when he expertly lobbed a wandering Kenny Arthur from the edge of the box. Steven Masterton also continued his goalscoring form when he rammed a free-kick under the Thistle wall and into the net to make it 0-2.
Craig Bryson then scored the pick of the bunch when he found the top corner from 20 yards and Michael McGowan completed the first half scoring when he caught Arthur off guard from a wide position.
A host of chances were then spurned before the end of the match but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the Clyde support.
