Clyde’s magnificent run continued with a convincing win over Hamilton at Broadwood, a result that moves The Bully Wee into third place in the First Division.
Early in the game Accies’ Tom Parratt was shown a straight red card for a wild challenge on Dougie Imrie and just minutes later a lovely pass by Ryan McCann released Gary Arbuckle who coolly slotted home his 10th goal of the season. Yet another superb Steven Masterton free-kick made it 2-0 after 30 minutes.
The visitors improved slightly after the break but as the second half progressed Clyde began to dominate again and the impressive Brian Gilmour somehow missed from two yards out with the goal gaping. However, Imrie wrapped up the points when his shot from the edge of the box went in off the post.
Joe Miller heaped praise on his team after the match but Billy Reid declined to comment.
