Mad March Fundraisers

Clyde supporters are certainly making it a “Mad March” for fundraising. There are a number of opportunities to suit all ages and pockets. Derby day on the 3rd March will be a busy day. As well as cheering on their favourites against Partick Thistle at Firhill there are also two other chances to support the club.

Sponsored Walk
In the morning Clyde fans can take part in a sponsored walk from Auchinstarry (near Kilsyth) to Firhill. This Supporters’ Trust event is a trip of 14 miles and will be made alongside the canal. Families can join later on in the route along the canal path at Kirkintilloch. The important thing is to get sponsorship and have fun in raising funds for the club. In order to be aware of numbers and necessary stewarding requirements it is important to register for this event. A registration and sponsorship form will be online soon.

A proportion of the monies raised will be donated to the SSBA.

Race Night
Later on in the day after the match the Glasgow Branch has organised a race night and this will be held at a city centre venue. It will be a chance for Clyde fans to back some more winners while having an excuse to stay out win, lose or draw!

Annual Celebrity Sports Dinner
The Holiday Inn at Bothwell Street in Glasgow is the venue on Friday 23rd March for the Supporters’ Trust Annual Dinner. Celebrity speakers include ex-FIFA referee Kenny Clark and after dinner speaker and comedian Les Peters. They will join Master of Ceremonies, the BBC’s own Clyde fan Dougie Donnelly, to provide the entertainment. Tickets are priced £60 per head or £540 for a table of ten. The price for Trust members is £45 per head.

It is sure to be a great evening and a chance for those non-Clyde supporting people in your life to attend a great occasion, help the club and who knows catch the Bully Wee bug!
