Getting Back To Form

Joe Miller spoke to the website this afternoon and he continues to be a happy man after Clyde’s emphatic victory over Ross County last weekend. “I was delighted with the performance and to be fair I wasn’t too displeased after the victory against Ayr United either.”

“We are beginning to show some signs of form and we need to build on that against Queen of the South at the weekend. They will be desperate for a win but equally we will be eager to avenge our defeat down there earlier in the season.”

Joe continued, “I made changes against Ayr and County and I think it emphasises that we have to rely upon the squad this year to bring us results. I want to keep people on their toes. For example, Michael McGowan (pictured) was left out from the starting line up against Ayr as I felt his form has not been good enough and I was pleased in the way that he responded to my challenge.

It’s not just a case of singling out Mikey all the players will be treated equally. If people are not performing as well as they can others will get their chance. As I said this season is not just about 11 players.”

One player making a return was Craig McKeown. “It was tremendous to see Craig comeback and he had a marvellous match. I’m also glad that he suffered no reaction and like all the others will return from their day off today to full training for the rest of the week before our trip to Dumfries.”

The web will speak to Joe again on Friday for some team news prior to the Queens match but you can also listen to Joe as he is taking part in Revival Radio’s 100.8 FM, News and Sport show on Friday evening between 6 and 7pm.
