Clyde 3 V 1 Morton
Goals by Michael McGowan, Chris Higgins and Craig Bryson sent Clyde into the Challenge Cup Final for the first time as they defeated Morton at a rain-swept Broadwood tonight.
The Second Division leaders started the match well but a teasing cross by McGowan found it’s way into the net to give Clyde the lead.
Higgins then scored his first goal for the club from an Andy Ferguson knock down to double the advantage before half-time but later gave The Ton hope by heading into his own net. After a nervous spell Bryson was put through on goal by Imrie and he finished well to clinch the match.
The Final, The Bully Wee’s first national final in 48 years, will be played on Sunday 12th November against Ross County at McDiarmid Park, Perth.
