Summer School Success!

Clyde’s School of Football continues to go from strength to strength! The first week of the summer programme has been completed and it has been a great success. Around 70 children took part and were led by Clyde community coaches Chris Gray and John MacMillan under the supervision of Peter Smith.

The week proved to be highly enjoyable week for all concerned and each participant was thrilled as the first team squad gave their support and backing to the School of Football. Indeed Craig McKeown (pictured left) spent the whole of Wednesday afternoon with the children and he was joined on Friday by the entire first team squad who joined in the activities with all the youngsters.

Head of the School of Football Peter Smith was delighted with the first week with around 20 children of the attendees being under 7 it emphasised Clyde’s commitment to working on a long term basis with youngsters in the local area.

The week also demonstrated to the Cumbernauld community the commitment of the School of Football to ensuring that Clyde are investing its time for all local children interested in football. The first team’s squad’s involvement also confirmed the Bully Wee’s commitment to ensuring that the community work is at the heart of the club and the club is looking forward to the future as it works in partnership with the local football teams and of course future summer schools.
