Clyde continued their pre-season preparations at the weekend with a bounce game against Dumbarton and the Bully Wee started off in positive fashion. A Gary Arbuckle (pictured left) goal in the second half separated the sides in a match in which Clyde dominated possession but where the emphasis was certainly on regaining full match fitness.
It was a good exercise for the team with only Neil McGregor missing out as he was rested due to a slight injury. All 18 players were used but for the record the starting eleven was: Cherrie, McKeown, Malone, Higgins, McGowan, Masterton, McHale, O’Donnell, Imrie, Bryson, Hunter.
The coaching staff were especially pleased with the shape and passing ability of the team and the way in which training exercises were put into practice in match conditions.
The training reaches another level this week as the squad will face Kilmarnock tomorrow in another closed door match before facing Rangers at Broadwood on Saturday.
