A Success Already!
The players are focussing all energies on the weekend’s matches but to date the club has been delighted in the success of the tour. A local football fan has certainly approved of the Bully Wee venture into Canada. Roy Steele of Windsor Ontario who also coaches a High School side wanted to convey his thoughts to the club, “I was present at your teams training sessions, kids soccer clinics, and an evening function held to welcome the players and
“Your squad from the management down to the most junior player have represented your club, your area and profession with outstanding grace. Nothing was ever too much for anyone of them. Mr Roberts enthralled the club patrons for nearly two hours on a microphone after a testing day of training and clinics and Mr Miller was also widely available for anecdotes.”
Roy continued, “A trip like this can only encourage relationships to grow an example of this was that Mr Roberts took time out to lecture my High School soccer team, some of them probably the same age as some of your players. The end result was that we went top of the table after beating an undefeated team 9-1 in the next game.”
