Back To Work
“More hard work!” That was the verdict of Clyde Assistant manager Joe Miller following the defeat at Palmerston. “It’s back to the training ground for us. We knew it was going to be a hard game but the players underachieved, a lot were below par and there was a lack of desire.”
Joe continued, “Earlier in the season we set standards and we have to get back to that, we were written off at the start of the season and we are happy with the team we have put together but we must build on it now as we prepare to challenge next season.”
One player who did get pass marks was recent signing Dougie Imrie who scored a wonder goal reminiscent of Van Basten, which had both sets of fans applauding, Joe continued the praise “He has done very well in training and deserves his chance. If he keeps on scoring goals like that every week he will be in the team from the start. But regardless we will continue to build him up for next season.”
