Hamilton Accies V Clyde Preview
Fresh from the positive news concerning contract extensions to members of the current squad on Thursday night, Manager Graham Roberts turned his attention towards Saturday’s match with Hamilton.
“We will be approaching this match like any other game. In contrast to the St Mirren game where we played well and got no reward, last Saturday we had a bad afternoon but came out of it with three points. We will be determined to get maximum points again.”
“We had a chat about the game against Airdrie and obviously told the boys we weren’t happy. We need to up our game and we will see on Saturday how well the boys have listened.”
Graham was in no doubt about the difficulty of the game ahead. “Hamilton are a strong physical side who can play good football when they want to so it will be a tough task for us.” Asked about the plastic pitch Graham was adamant. “We will deal with it. We train on it every day and it will not be the pitch that beats us.”
As for team news for Saturday. the squad will be on similar lines as before. “Paul McHale will be out for another six weeks and Eddie Malone continues to be suspended. Craig Bryson will however be available for selection.”
Graham concluded: “We are competing well in this Division and are looking forward to every match. The news regarding the contracts this week also demonstrates that our eyes are not just concerned about the here and now and further proof of that is that we also added the U12s to the Youth Development programm this week. The future is indeed bright as we build the Club up on and off the park.”
