Gaffer Talks
“Everyone from the tea lady to the Chairman has to stick by the team at the moment. I was disappointed by the reaction to the performance after and during the gameeven by some behind the goal. We’ve had one bad performance in our last thirteen matches. We are not a bad side and will bounce back without a shadow of a doubt.”
“We had an off day and Brechin played the best that they have done all season,” Graham Roberts continued. “These things happen. A few weeks ago St Mirren were hammered at Dundee. Obviously if we had taken our chances it would have been a completely different outcome but that’s been the story all season. It was frustrating to learn afterwards that Joe was not offside when he scored but that’s life and we have to move on. We now have two huge games, that will be extremely difficult and I want the fans to back us.”
Graham confirmed his ambition. “Joe and I are not settling for mid table. When we arrived we said this club would not be relegated and I believe we have delivered it. The players have done tremendously well and we will work as hard as we can to deliver more success.”
As the transfer window approaches, newspaper reports this morning had linked Clyde with Shaun Dillon a left-sided defender from Kilmarnock. Graham clarified the situation: “Shaun is training with us. Joe got a call and we are having a look. If we like him and he is better than what we have got then we’ll see if we can strike a deal.”
The boss desribed the weekend
With snow now falling in the Cumbernauld area this evening the game must be in doubt. The website will endeavour to keep you updated with the official news and hopefully we will see the current snow turn to rain overnight to allow the Clyde players the earliest opportunity to bounce back in the promotion race.”
