Ranger 5 V 2 Clyde (After Extra Time)

With seventeen minutes left of this tie it was Clyde who were heading for a place in the quarter-finals!

After ninety minutes it was 2-2, a fantastic achievement for the Bully Wee. Eight minutes into the extra period Rangers’ Federico Nieto put the home team ahead after Lovenkrands had chested the ball down to create the chance.

Marvin Andrews then made it 4-2 in the 111th minute and two minutes later Federico Nieto scored his second, and Rangers’ fifth. with a header from a Lovenkrands cross. .

That’s the way it finished, a 5-2 victory for the holders, but nevertheless a memorable night for all of a Clyde persuasion.
