Clyde 0 V 1 St. Johnstone 1
“Back to reality” seemed to best sum up today’s result at Broadwood. After the highs of Ibrox this return to the business of points-gathering proved disappointing from a Clyde point of view.
St. Johnstone’s winning margin could have been more had the visitors taken some good goal-scoring opportunities after going ahead in the thirty-second minute through Milne.
Clyde’s chances of taking something from the game began to increase in the last fifteen minutes when man of many clubs Scott Paterson collected a second yellow card in the seventy-fifth minute.
Former Bully Wee favourite Simon Mensing was then red carded six minutes later for an off-the-ball incident with Alex Williams but Clyde were unable to take advantage of the two-man advantage for the last nine minutes.
