Clyde 1 V 1 Dundee

Clyde shared the spoils with Dundee today in an exciting 1-1 draw at Broadwood. Simon Lynch opened the scoring for the visitors in the sixty-first minute before assistant manager Joe Miller secured a point fifteen minutes later as he robbed Dundee defender Barry Smith to strike a great equaliser past Kelvin Jack.

It was the least that Clyde deserved as the team refused to be intimidated by the recently relegated SPL side after Dundee started the stronger.

As Miller struck, the delight of manager Graham Roberts was clear to see. Most neutrals were getting ready to write off this match as another game that plucky Clyde failed to get the points, but the players earned creditnot only for refusing to panic when Dundee took the lead but for accomplishing a fightback that proves Graham’s “Gems” are ready to battle in this Division.

Although the Dens Park side hit the woodwork twice the Bully Wee created several chances themselves and played some excellent football to cheer the home support.
