A product of Motherwell’s Youth Development programme, 5ft 11″ defender Chris was on the bench at Fir Park on 22 May when he saw at close quarters the Fir Parkers’ sensational 2-1 win over Celtic. It proved to be as near to SPL football as he was going to get as a ‘Well player; to the surprise of many the Broxburn-born youngster was released by Motherwell four days later.

Despite this set-back, it didn’t take nineteen year old Chris long to get another club. On 12 June he became Graham Roberts’ first capture for Clyde and the Manager is delighted with his first signing.
